Donald Steinberg, MBA, DDS, MSD
Dr. Steinberg, a Dallas native, graduated from Southern Methodist University, University of Dallas, and the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. While at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Steinberg received the prestigious Merritt Parks award for Outstanding Senior in Periodontics. Dr. Steinberg’s continued work in periodontics has led him to accumulate awards throughout his career, including being named “Best Periodontist” by Texas Monthly Magazine.
With decades of dental and periodontal experience and board certification by the American Board of Periodontology since 1995, Dr. Steinberg confidently leads specialty care for implants, bone regeneration, and gum disease. He is known for his compassionate care and enjoys living, serving, and working with fellow Texans in the DFW Metro area.
Yaritza Vazquez, DMD
Dr. Vazquez, our board-certified periodontist and dental implant specialist, began her career in the field of periodontics after completing a periodontal residency in 2009 in Boston, MA. Working in a private periodontal practice in Boston provided invaluable experience and an opportunity to connect with wonderful colleagues and patients.
After several years of practicing in New England, she moved to Texas with her family in 2011 and, since then, has enjoyed everything Texas has to offer. Dr. Yaritza Vazquez is blessed to have two beautiful children, Zoe and Noah, and a supportive husband that also has a practice orthodontics. Their journey as parents is equally rewarding as they stay busy as a family participating in volleyball and baseball tournaments during the weekends.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Vazquez places a large emphasis on building trust-based relationships with patients who visit us for periodontal and oral care.
Cathy
OFFICE MANAGER
Cathy spent 7.5 years as a General Dental Assistant in England/United Kingdom before coming to work at DFW Implant Team approximately 35 years ago. She has held numerous positions during her time at DFW Implant Team, and now she serves as our Office Manager.
Cathy is dedicated and hardworking and at times performs the duties of a Surgical Assistant when needed. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified. As required in her profession, Cathy accomplishes 28 Continuing Education Credits each year, helps her fellow staff members as a Continuing Education Assistant, and serves as an Implant Coordinator. When she is not at work helping others obtain optimal oral health, Cathy loves to cuddle up at home with a great book to relax. Scuba diving and working out keep Cathy active, healthy, and happy.
Cassie
SURGICAL ASSISTANT
Cassie eagerly joined the DFW Implant team as a Surgical Assistant as an Intern, and was hired as our Surgical Assistant when she graduated from the Concorde Career Institute to be a Registered Dental Assistant in 2006.
Always with a smile on her face, and as the main Surgical Assistant, she has been assisting our board-certified periodontist with dental implants and reconstructive procedures and attentively taking care of all pre/post-operative patients. Cassie appreciates working in the positive atmosphere of this office and does her best to keep the operating room to meet State and Federal safety standards. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified, and she also completes 12 Continuing Education Credits each year. When Cassie is not working, she takes care of her daughter, who she loves to spend time with outdoors. You may also catch Cassie on the softball field, in the gym, or out in the countryside riding horses.
Joy
SURGICAL ASSISTANT
Joy was a flight attendant for American Airlines during the 9/11 tragedy, at which time she decided to make a career change. After getting her registered dental assisting license, she worked in the Endodontic side of dentistry before becoming a surgical assistant at DFW Implant Team.
She enjoys the camaraderie of the people in the office and says there is nothing better than seeing the smile on a patient’s face after reconstructive procedures. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), N20 (nitrous oxide) certified, and she also completes 12 continuing education credits each year. When not working, you will find her spending time with her husband watching movies, reading, or playing with her fur baby.
Karen
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Karen also tracks credits for her team members as their Continuing Education Coordinator. With over 32 years of experienc, Karen has worked in several areas of the practice; Register Dental Hygienist, Marketing and Continuing Education coordinator, and IT coordination.
As a (Big Rapids, Michigan) Ferris State University alumna, Karen graduated in 1975 as a Registered Dental Hygienist with honors and was involved with the National Honor Society. She graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Business in 2000. She is also CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified, and she completes 28 Continuing Education Credits each year. Karen is a very curious person with a thirst for knowledge, and she loves learning and sharing her information with others. On the weekend, you can find her enjoying traveling to new exciting places or working out at the gym, hiking, and enjoying her grandchild.
